The Power of Membership

This has been a time like no other. Now more than ever, we know the blessings and importance of connection and community—and now more than ever, we need each other’s support so that we can continue to nourish our souls, connect to community, and respond to the crises of our times.

Forest Hills Jewish Center is not a building; social and spiritual connection transcends physical distance. We have overcome the challenges that the pandemic had thrust upon us and continue to thrive by engaging our community more than ever before via nightly zoom limud or minyanim, services on-line and in person services and a multitude of programs.
We are inspired by how our community has come together, and we ask you to consider what it means to have the Forest Hills Jewish Center in your life at this moment.

Joining our community or renewing your membership is a statement of your commitment to FHJC and the Jewish community. Your membership includes:

  • Access to meaningful members-only programming and gatherings which provide learning, spiritual uplift and connection with fellow community members
  • Priority location access for next year’s High Holy Days seating (upon renewing membership next year)
  • Pastoral care and guidance for life moments and milestones
  • The spiritual nourishment of being part of a loving, caring, and vibrant Jewish community—and of knowing that you are contributing to its present and future

To schedule a tour of our building, including the sanctuary and the schools, please contact our Office Manager who will connect you with one of our Membership Committee volunteers.

Please be aware that membership dues are discounted 50% for new members.

We are happy to answer any questions you may have about membership and dues.  You can find our Membership Application here.

Or contact the Office Manager, Laurie Worthman at 718-263-7000 ext. 203.
