HEBREW LITERATURE GROUP
In response to the current crisis, our topic is: Hebrew Poems of Resistance and Hope.
At our next meeting, our main text will be Haim Guri’s legendary War of Independence poem/song, Bab el Wad, commemorating the battle to open the road to besieged Jerusalem.
This will be the second session in which we will look at the biblical Song of Deborah. It is a long poem, and we will finish reading it in our next session.
In the Hebrew Literature Group our texts are in Hebrew, but are accompanied by English translation, and discussion is in English. Join us!
